Do you ever feel like you’re the last to know what’s happening on campus? Are there times when you have exciting news to share but can’t seem to find the appropriate way to get the word out? Do you ever find yourself saying, “NOBODY TOLD ME!”
We’ve all been there, and that’s exactly why we created Highlands Highlights, the official blog of Virginia Highlands Community College. It’s an updated version of the old newsletter that was distributed on campus some years ago, with a few exciting differences. Highlands Highlights provides the amazing opportunity to share news quickly, to promote programs and events, and even to toot your own horn from time to time. There’s also an opportunity for readers to comment on recent blogs and to respond to periodic opinion polls.
Who can blog? All members of the VHCC campus community – students, faculty, staff, administrators, board members, etc. – are encouraged to participate. Maybe you even want to share a photo? If you have something to share or need help deciding if your news is blogworthy, please send it to Anne Dunham at firstname.lastname@example.org. The last one to submit a blog is a rotten egg!
