VHCC Disc Golf Course is Open

By Samantha Gunn, SGA Student Activity Officer

VHCC will cut the ribbon on its new VHCC Disc Golf Course during Campus Craze Dayz on Sept. 3 at 10. a.m. A tournament featuring teams of 4 will follow the ribbon cutting, with customized discs awarded to members of the winning team. More details are available at www.vhcc.edu/CrazeDayz

The new golf course was conceived by the Student Government Association with help from college leaders.  The best part of the disc golf course is  that the project was led by VHCC students. From the digging of the pads to the concrete work, the students worked in teams to accomplish a nine-hole (short and long) course with natural obstacles.

The course is open to students and community members. You may bring your own discs, or borrow discs from the VHCC Career, Transfer & Student Activities Center located in the ISC building. Also, a class is offered on how to play disc golf.
